Spartans Daily activities program from children 5-10. The program runs May 29, 2007 to August 17, 2007.
Spartans is a multi-faceted, daily activities program for children five to ten years old. It has been operated for more than 15 years for the members of The Country Club of Colorado, which is encompassed within 214-acre Cheyenne Mountain Resort for the first time; it is now available to families staying at the resort.
Spartans is a diverse program offering an array of sports, recreational, educational and cultural activities. Parents may enroll their children in:
Full-day sessions: 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. $50.
Half-day sessions: mornings 8 a.m.- noon or afternoons 1 p.m.-5 p.m. $27.
Snacks and lunch are provided all day attendees.
The activities, which vary daily, may include:
- Fishing
- Swimming
- Boating
- Basketball
- Racquetball
- Volleyball
- Other Group Sports
- Arts and crafts
Regular guest speakers including: the Colorado Springs police and fire departments, The Raptors Center, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Division of Wildlife to share valuable information and insights with the children. Program also offers field trips, carnivals and other fun events.
Spartans makes vacation more enjoyable for both parents and their children. Kids have a fun, stimulating time with other children participating in a variety of activities, while parents are free to do whatever they enjoy, whether 18 holes of championship golf at the resort or shopping in Old Colorado City.
